The Qhakaza Project addresses these challenges by equipping participants with advanced sewing and fashion‑design skills, alongside train‑the‑trainer development. Based in an impoverished community, it prepares individuals not only for employment or small‑business creation but also to become trainers who uplift others.
Across a focused three‑month program, participants receive practical and theoretical training in fashion design, sewing, business planning, and facilitation, preparing them for employment, micro‑enterprise, or to establish community training hubs that multiply impact. The project also integrates spiritual formation and personal development within a supportive environment that includes accommodation, mentorship, and follow‑up through Community Transformation Groups, laying a strong foundation for long‑term economic empowerment and shared community growth.
