In Rubaga Division, one of Kampala’s most densely populated and disadvantaged communities, youth unemployment remains high. Many young people face limited education, scarce job opportunities, and increased vulnerability to exploitation, crime, and long‑term poverty. African Enterprise Uganda, together with local communities, vocational institutes and government partners, is addressing this through the Rubaga Youth Skilling for Employment Project.
This community‑driven initiative equips young people with marketable vocational skills, life skills and entrepreneurship training, empowering them to find employment, start small businesses and build sustainable futures.
