I was challenged by God as I saw that the Rwandan people were not materially rich, but they were incredibly spiritually rich. As we shared the gospel in schools, farming communities, and open-air meetings, and helping to build a house, there were so many times that I thought – ‘why didn’t I do this sooner in my life?’
When asked what the big takeaway from the experience was, I can say that when you empower a woman, you empower her whole family. The pride that was written over the women’s faces when they told me that their families are now thriving, was heart-warming.
