Improved Literacy

The project will address the improvement of literacy in Luyari and Rego communities located in Terekeka in South Sudan. The target beneficiaries will be the “unreached” adults who cannot read and write. This will be implemented through an adult education program.  This project will be targeting women between the ages of 15 to 35 years. Illiteracy in South Sudan is very high with over 70% adult illiteracy rate and expanding the beneficiary age limit may attract many beneficiaries beyond budget limits. The younger people are semi-literate and hence the target group indicated. In addition, the project will be a channel of community sensitization and advocacy for children to go to school especially girls
