In 2024, African Enterprise Ethiopia is continuing its life-changing work among women in Arba Minch who survive by collecting firewood and street vending. These women face exhausting daily labour, serious safety risks, and extreme poverty as they struggle to provide for their families.
Through two six-month training rounds, 30 women will be equipped with sewing and embroidery skills, life skills, and discipleship support. Graduates will form small Sewing Work Groups and Community Transformation Groups, receiving sewing machines and seed funding to launch sustainable businesses.
The project not only enables women to earn a steady income and send their children to school but also restores dignity, hope, and purpose, creating a ripple effect of transformation for families and communities.
