Across Accra and Kasoa, many young people are left vulnerable by poverty, unemployment, and lack of opportunity, often pushed into dangerous survival strategies such as street trading, crime, and substance abuse.
In 2024, African Enterprise Ghana will equip 30 young people (18–35 years) through the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP). Participants will join either the Youth Apprenticeship Programme (YAP) in tailoring or the Computer Training Programme (CTP) in digital skills. Alongside technical training, students will join Community Transformation Groups (CTGs) for mentoring, peer support, and discipleship.
By the end of the year, trainees will graduate with vocational and business skills, laptops or sewing machines, and the confidence to start their own businesses or secure employment. This project restores dignity, creates sustainable livelihoods, and gives Ghana’s next generation the tools to overcome poverty and build a brighter future.
