A message from Stephen Mbogo, African Enterprise CEO:
As we draw towards the close of 2018, I’d like to take this opportunity to salute all of you—our prayer and financial partners and my colleagues in African Enterprise—for having so valiantly proclaimed Christ throughout Africa in what for many has not been an easy year. I say this in view of what the Lord has helped us to achieve this year where over 110,000 have dedicated their lives to Christ through our missions. It says of Naaman: … he was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy (2 Kings 5.1). The key statement here is that “through him the Lord had given victory.” Apart from that the other outstanding thing is that he Naaman was a leper! In olden days that was likened to being as good as dead. And indeed but for God’s grace we would not have achieved what we did this year.
I want to take this opportunity to especially thank all our prayer and financial supporters. While we laboured in Africa’s front lines from Capetown to Tunisia, you have been like Aaron and Hur, who held up Moses’ hands as Joshua fought in the trenches (Exodus 17:11). You have steadied your hands in prayer and in giving financial resources for us to be sustained on the front lines. Due to the valiant labours of all of us collectively—staff, board members and prayer and giving partners we can report of the many that made commitments to follow Jesus this year not only through the missions but through our social action projects as well.
I am eagerly looking forward to the great things the Lord will work through us all – from partners to those on the front lines of Africa as we press forward to see Africa coming to Jesus!
