Soweto Kayole Primary Health Care Clinic is a community project established in 1996 by African Enterprise Kenya.
Kayole is one of many slums located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. With an estimated population of 140,000, most of its residents live in abject poverty in homes that lack electricity and running water. Additionally, more than 60% of the population are unemployed with most families living on less than one dollar a day.
This clinic has become the most efficient, affordable and highly respected community based health care centre within the area and is a beacon of hope for the community of Kayole.
The clinic offers various outpatient and emergency services to the community and God has blessed the clinic with an ambulance that is now serving the community in emergency situations. The ambulance crew is fully trained for first aid and emergency rescue and has so far responded to many cases such as expectant women, choking babies, burns, crime victims and much more.
We are very grateful to Pacific Hills Christian School in Sydney NSW who donated the new ambulance to the clinic during the year!
