Over the past seven months, the Foxfire SA team have been on an incredible journey of outreach, training, and transformation. We’ve seen God’s hand at work in both the communities we’ve served and in the lives of our own team members.
Our ministry has taken us into local churches and organisations, where we’ve focused on equipping leaders to reach and disciple young people more effectively. By training church leaders to follow up with youth, build lasting relationships, and nurture faith, we’re helping create stronger, more connected communities. We’ve also stepped into career expos, walking alongside young people as they think about their futures, offering both practical career guidance and spiritual encouragement.
But perhaps the most inspiring part of this season has been witnessing the personal growth of our Foxfire team members. Their stories show the heart of what this ministry is all about: transformation from the inside out.
One former Foxfire shared how their year helped them discover their true identity in Christ. Having once lived for personal ambition, their time with Foxfire gave them clarity, direction, and a deep confidence in God’s Word. Today, they are pursuing a career in air traffic control, carrying with them the purpose and wisdom found in Christ.
Another team member reflected on their journey from low self-esteem to leadership. Through training, mentoring, and the encouragement of fellow Foxfires, they grew in confidence and faith. They were entrusted with leadership roles during their year of service and now apply those skills as a coordinator at Mama Ntombi’s Community Project while studying law at UNISA. They describe their time with Foxfire as life-changing, equipping them to step boldly into the future God has prepared.
As we look ahead, we’re more committed than ever to raising up young leaders and supporting churches in reaching the next generation. We’re excited for the opportunities before us and trust that God will continue to do immeasurably more through Foxfire.
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and partnership. Together, we are seeing lives transformed and communities strengthened through the hope of the Gospel.
